Our dance festival (I need to remember NOT to sit near the speaker next year) went off well again thanks to the many teachers students, and mothers (and Mr. Williamson's commentary)
My oldest daughter took over my role as band geek this year so I sat on my blanket with DH and no children. It was unusual to video the dancing and not have side comments like: "Mom, can we go now?" "I need to go potty!" "Look! It's (insert siblings or friends names here)!"
It was fun to give my full attention to the dancing this year!
