James E. Faust said," If there were no night, we would not appreciate the day."
So true, don't you think?
And if there were no winter, we would not appreciate the spring.
I've experienced a few rough patches the last several months. Times when my stomach would clench or I bit my tongue or didn't look someone in the eye.
I wondered what I was suppose to learn from my trials. I trusted the Lord. He wanted me to learn something I was too dimwitted to get without being clobbered over the head.
One Saturday, in a wonderful meeting, I received a few enlightening insights. I let cares and anxieties overshadow my faith in Christ. I must learn to turn over my cares to the Savior and focus on the peaceful truths of the Gospel.
Ah! Tender mercies.
If there were no trials, we would not appreciate the blessings.
