Hukilau Cafe & Banana Pancakes

Cute, little hidden place in Oahu near the Laie LDS Temple.
Everyone in the family loved it!

Recognize this movie?
<-----
50 First Dates was not really filmed here. The movie studio bought the right to use the cafe's name is all.
The inside looks nothing like this picture.
<-----
There are about 10 tables inside, no booths.
If it's not busy, you'll be seated immediately. If it is busy, put your name on a paper by the register and wait to be called. And please wait outside, there isn't room inside to stand around.

There are no waffles @ The Hukilau Cafe.

Did you know that rice is served with almost any meal in Hawaii? That includes breakfast.
We tried the Hungry Hawaiian (w/rice), Loco Moco (w/ rice), Teriyaki Beef (w/ rice), Eggs and Fried Rice (w/ rice)(wait, I already said that).

Also tried: Chocolate Pancakes, Buttermilk Pancakes and Banana Pancakes (served w/o rice).

The first time we all ordered our own meals and were stuffed.
The second we ordered three dishes and shared. We still walked away with food left on our plates.

For a special treat, try Banana Pancakes for breakfast!
