Annual summer outing update

Our annual summer getaway!

We love going to Bear Lake. I'm not sure if it's the location or if it's a yearly family vacation that we love.

This year, like last year, our favorite beach is under water. We didn't go to Bear Lake last year because of the water level. The water went down this year, just not at the beach we like.

We decided to try the North Beach. The beach is on the Idaho side of Bear Lake. We love it!

Thursday we drove up through Wyoming to Bear Lake. After we got settled, we drove to the North Beach. We parked ourselves at the beach to enjoy a few hours of sun before it set. We looked over and saw old friends from our ward there. They moved to northern Utah a few years ago. What are the chances we would be at the same spot at the same beach on the same day?

Friday we went to North Beach in the morning. Grandpa, Julie and Bailey came after lunch. We rented a paddle board and a jet ski. (Megan rolled the jet ski. Lost her glasses).

Playdoh ice cream.

Saturday we planned on doing a little shopping and maybe go to the cave. We were disappointed in the shopping. Everything has gone upscale. Even the KOA grocery has raised it's prices. We spent money on ice cream instead.

The KOA called us to tell us we were suppose to be gone. I told them we were scheduled for three nights. It ticked Garth off enough that he loaded up the trailer and we headed out. It was a good thing though. We headed home and barely missed the road closing for a fire.

I love the time we spend together as a family. Away from friends and electronics and distractions.
I love my family!
