The mighty hunters have returned empty-handed.
DS12 was awarded his 1st deer tag from the powers that be the Division of Wildlife Resources.
He practiced shooting, hiked, ate granola bars all day, scoped out wildlife, rode the ATV and saw one buck.
DS12 may have come home empty-handed but he bonded with his dad, uncle and cousin. He learned what is needed for the hunt: orange, warm shoes and clothes, food & water.
DH learned more about the land we own in Oak City (east of Delta) and the neighbor who erroneously believes he is caretaker of all the land near his.
I learned I shouldn't leave my 8 year-old and 5 year-old to get too bored or they just fight.
It was a relaxing, good weekend!
