All rooms are not created equally & 40 is not too old to hip hop

For our 20 year anniversary (Yes! We have been married 20 years. Almost more years than I was single) we decided to take a trip.
Just Garth and I.
(Everyone sigh at the cute picture).

Since we met at church in Taiwan (not BYU) we wanted to go to Asia. But alas! Our Sky Miles and calendar would not mesh. We tried all sorts of anniversary ideas (Disneyland? The kids would mutiny. Go back on our honeymoon trip? Uh, Page,Arizona, never mind) and finally decided to take a cruise.

We booked on Royal Caribbeans Splendour of the Seas.
To the Mediterranean.
Yup.
That is where we went for our 20 year (Yes! 20 years!) anniversary.
Sigh.
I still can't believe we went to Italy, Croatia, Turkey, Greece and France.
10 days of sightseeing, gorging on good food and taking over 800 pictures.

For the next week or so I am going to write about our trip.
And post pictures.
And maybe a video or two.

Let's get started!

We used our Sky Miles to fly into Venice. We were so early the ship was still unloading the last cruisers (boo hoo! Your cruise is over, now get off so I can start mine).
We watched someone steal bottled water while we waited in the terminal.
About an hour later, we got to board our ship (not boat).

One of the first things to do when boarding your cruise is find your room.
We had booked an inside cabin, because really, we would only use it to change clothes and sleep.
We got upgraded to a stateroom which means we got a huge window and the room was bigger. It was also at the end of the hall, only one neighbor and right by the elevator. It was awesome!

The next thing to do on ship is find the food. We found the buffet and stuffed ourselves to set the cruise off right.

What more could we want, I ask you?
How about sailing right through Venice?

Wow.
That is all Garth and I could say as the sound of the shutter clicked...and clicked...and clicked. (Can't wait to go back to Venice).
After we sailed through Venice it was just routine: explore the ship, find the shops and theater, meet our tablemates, watch the Welcome Aboard show and stay up late.

(More about the hip-hopping if I can find the video..)

That wedding photos is PRICELESS!!! With photos like that, you make me smile--oh, wait, you already do that!

I am on the edge of my seat to hear all about the cruise...sounds like my way to see the Mediterranean.

And, you hip-hop, but don't square dance?!?! What's up with that?!?!
