Thanks Challenge

I am grateful for sick kids to remind me that I need to be thankful for health and strength.
1 AM I hear the patter of little feet.
"Mom, I still don't feel good."
"Do you need to throw up?"
"I think so."
"Go to the bathroom"
"Okay."
A few minutes and gut wrenching noises later, he says (in an exasperated voice), "Mom, I don't like throwing up anymore."
And I, the sympathetic barfer said, "Me either, son. Me either."
I'm also grateful for Lysol that I sprayed all over the bathroom to kill germs and cover the smell of sickness.

Thanks Challenge

Here is the Thanksgiving challenge:
Post one thing you are grateful for until Thanksgiving. Post it on your blog or Facebook, Twitter it or write it in a journal.
Get the family involved. Have each member write something they are grateful for each day for a different family member. Put the thoughts on stickies and hang them around the house.
Get the neighbors involved. Give your neighbor a special plate called ''a plate of gratitude" filled with goodies or notes of why you are grateful for them. The only stipulation is they cannot keep the plate. They must pass it on. See if it comes back to you, the way blessings do.
"We can lift ourselves, and others as well, when we refuse to remain in the realm of negative thought and cultivate within our hearts an attitude of gratitude. If ingratitude be numbered among the serious sins, then gratitude takes its place among the noblest of virtues."
Thomas S. Monson

I am grateful for my amazing husband and children...
And that they love to travel as much as I do!
I am grateful for the music and laughter in my home.
And the joy the gospel brings that we can be together forever.
